The icon of Kannada cinema for more than five decades and still leading in the minds of people of Karnataka passed away nine years ago and his ‘Punyabhumi’ at Kanteerava studio was decked with special flowers and the family of Dr Rajakumar was present to perform pooja for ‘Punya Bhumi’

The road from Dr Rajakumar Punyabhumi to Nayandahalli circle was named as Dr Rajakumar Punyabhumi Road on Sunday morning after formal rituals at the memorial in Kanteerava studio.

Union Minister Ananthkumar, Bengaluru Mayor Smt Shanthakumari, Priya Krishna MLA and others were present on this occasion.  

The fans of Dr Rajakumar urged for ‘Bharatha Ratna’ posthumously to Dr Rajakumar. The thousands of fans were offered food at the memorial.
